It's Here!

Today, October 10, 2020, is the day! "American Revolution 2056" began as a crazy dream in the winter of 2017 and today it is available to the public! It's hard to imagine that from a pile of notecards on my table came a real book. It blows me away and inspires me at the same time.

American Revolution is available for as little as .99! Yes, for ninety-nine cents, you, too can see what I've been rambling about for so long.

It would be impossible to say thank you to everyone who made it possible, but special thanks go to:

LaVonne Smasel, Heather Condon, Alan Meier, Ruth Koestler and Jennifer Valley for their technical support, advice and emotional support.

Jeff Snyder for outlining how a revolution might theoretically take place and for answering my zillion questions. Any mistakes are entirely mine, not his.

All of my friends and family for their support and for supplying me with great ideas. Names and relationships and speech patterns all have to come from somewhere!

My elementary school teachers and my English teachers through junior and senior high school. Much as any kid, me included, grumbles about writing, they forced me to write complete sentences and to read a lot of books.

Most of all, perhaps, is my mother, Betty. She went to school in a two-room schoolhouse but knew in her heart that reading and writing were the world. She read to my brothers and sister all the time, so I literally heard her reading in the womb. Then she read to me and helped/encouraged me to read. She was the grammar police before anyone ever used the term! She had no qualms about correcting my grammar even if it mortified me. I would not have written AR56 if not for her. Thanks, Mom.
